In current times, the SRI International for the Division of Education revealed a 93-page report founded on one of the severe topics as of late i.e. on the internet education.

Surprising but accurate, the report shows that students enrolled in a web-based educational course exhibit an improved overall performance in terms of their comparison with students attending the brick-and-mortar educational schemes.

The study bases its conclusions in the broad investigation on online education in opposition to the typical classroom teaching from 1996 to 2008. As a graduate from college, I have received more than 15 years’ formal education in China, ranging from primary, secondary to higher education. On my way of intellectual growth, what impresses me most is a variety of pop quizzes, midterms, finals, and national exams. As our abilities are most measured by exams results in the present education situation, the exam form and effectiveness are of great concern to me. If I could make some change, I would suggest that the multiple-choice test should not be widely used at school.

First of all, the multiple-choice test makes it convenient for students to cheat. When students just need to answer by checking a few letters or drawing a few circles, students can copy their neighbors’ answer with much ease. As a parent it is your responsibility to ensure your children receive a full-time education between the ages of 5 and 16. This need not legally be at a school as educating the children at home is an option, however usually school will be the only realistic way of fulfilling the full-time education requirement due to work commitments, etcetera. Once enrolled at a school it is the parents’ responsibility to ensure their children regularly attend. Failure to do so may eventually lead to prosecution and sometimes even a custodial sentence. There are only two valid reasons for children missing school; illness and if the absence was pre-arranged. Any other reason will amount to truancy.
